A thunderstorm knocked on my door this morning
When I let her in she broke down and stopped storming
Lightning bolts snaked from the floor to the ceiling
From my head to my toes I lost all of my feeling
There's rain on the forecast, I am sad to say
But I'll try my best to give you cloudless days
Dark eyes cataracted by cumulonimbus
And from them
Static leaked down the prettiest face in existence
Rain trailed down her arms to the tips of her fingers
Around her hips a silver veil of fog lingered
There's rain on the forecast, I am sad to say
But I'll try my best to give you cloudless days
