Toebones under my porch
An animal has fallen
Its fur was brown and black and cream
It had a good life or so it seems
When i die, i want you to say the same
That i had a good life
That i was scared and brave
Look around, into the sacred the profane
For this piece of me that is bound
To come back one rainy day
Toebones under my porch
I see that fate is calling
Its lines are like a tangle of trees
Follow you around, guarding its keep
When you die, our world will never be the same
Your spirits they will ride
Upon our grieving hearts, within your name
Understand, the light will find you untamed
And your enemies they will rise
Chanting peace upon your grave
Toesbones under my porch
An animal has fallen
Forever wild roaming inside our dreams
It had a good life, and loved it deeply
