Deep dark roots
Lay at the forests foot
Tall giants of nature
Wait for the suns return
Collapsing are their brothers
Into their arms these creatures slumber
The bark rots like flesh
The rigor mortis will commence
Hearts of nature lie in tears of dreams
In these dreams the decay weaves
Heartache lie in the leaves
Forest hearts are no more
Fathers of long before
We weep for them more
Forest hearts live no more
For death lingers in the air
A mist fills without a care
Insects crawl from the ground
Feeding on the life with no sound
No hear of echoes from there cry's
They know it's their time
Like falling leaves given to the Soil
No longer feel the turmoil
