Watching life unfold through blinds on a window
The light keeps blocking out my view
Oh how the shape of the world has changed
Since I last laid eyes on you
The sun is gone
The waves have crashed and let it all burn out
No moving on
I cannot learn to live a life without
It's draining to stay intact
Am I really on the right track?
What I lost will never be back
What else is left out there for me to find?
I don't know, I can't think, it's not just something I left behind
Rock bottom loves company but I disagree
Existing only to make me wanna get up and leave
I need reprieve
Oh how the shape of the world has changed
Hard logic swapped with wishful thinking
This fragile past
We knew it wouldn't last
