People come round to Turtle Stack Island
And when they come round they're sure to be smiling, because
The turtles stacked high on up to the sky
And everyone knows they're spreading their toes
Sighing at the sight of the island sun

You never have to come down from the top of the stack
But after awhile someone's crawled up your back
See heavens above, then look down below
You're floating along with everyone that you know
On Turtle Stack Island they're climbing slow

It' a twelve turtle day until they jump in the water
The log starts to sway, one by one they've all gotta
Head back to the pond as quick as they can
Tomorrow at twelve we'll be back on the log again
