Tritagonist - IX. Grief In Observation Lyrics
Official

The problem of traipsing in faith and scenarios met
Is the assumption that shin splints and hairline fractures
Are consequences of a journey well-travelled. But
Corral your horses: mind over body is a treacherous locale
"Find a courtesan," some say, the answer
For sexual healing as a psychosomatic response
Yet logic dictates a reason for a greater morale
And treason not the influencer of my rationale
Mental stability, stressed by constant
Consonants and ironies, searches
For rest only to find them
Washing over my sulcus folds
Will I die a lonely death to never resurrect?
Fated to sing tragedies as
Repetitious variations of theme
When will a new psalm begin
Arias breathed anew?
Is this my cross to bear or just a pipe dream
Disjoining heart from mind, skin pierced to sinew?
It's trepanation to lose rest, wage filled with desperation
Thoughts become trash heaps of stress, renewed stipulations
Fear of separation, staying
Together costing all concentration
But is there respite from turmoil
And a ruined reputation?
Life as equations brings no relief
Only subconscious stimulation
When grace is the requirement
For wisdom in divine
Contemplation. An infatuation
I don't need, no grief nor
Mental penetration, for day breaks
With joy renewed with further revelation
Anguish at breaking point, enemies crushing schemers
Do I dare trust God even if no reward for broken faith?
Let me resolve for him to be my portion, my redeemer
For, "They say 'The coward dies many times;' so does the beloved"
How wonderful our lives are that despite confusion
Through pain and suffering, you would be present
To give men dreams, to bring women vision
To allow the elderly to relay truth with childlike faith
