"Have you ever had a dream that you, um, you had, your, you- you could
You'll do, you- you wants, you, you could do so..."
2 Decades, and I've got a new perspective
I'm gonna chase my dreams, and I'm putting out a message
A lyricist, only 20, nineteen when he wrote it
Putting words to beat, flowing rhymes and speak like a poet
If I'm sounding egotistic, I don't mean it, I'm just dreaming
I just want to be the best, not tryna be conceited
But I swear to God I'm gonna do this thing till I die
They said that music lives on, I guess I'd still be alive
And if I write about a situation, tryna spark some inspiration
There won't be no speculation about my time and dedication
Music's my life and music's my soul
I've so down and out so up is where I go
"I have a dream"
"I have a dream"
Take it back to the days I was sixteen
Dropping "Icy Boy" and put Wick Willy on the scene
On the spot, that's his shot, he spit that off the top
He knew it's the start of something and he wasn't gonna stop
And If he did, he wouldn't be where he's at
He would've been a one hit wonder, and probably not even that
He would've killed for a studio, or even a Mac
He could've f*cking quit from the moment they said he was wack
But he didn't, because this kid has a vision
And for next couple years, he was a man on a mission
He's just tryna succeed, tryna get his name out there
Overcoming obstacles and fighting the doubt they're
Throwing his way, constant, on an everyday basis
Some people still won't admit that this kid's going places
And years pass, the hunger builds, the grind still stays
He wanted to be known, so now he's at the point where he says
Failure's not an option, I can't lose, I refuse
I keep going, moving forward, this is all I wanna do
I put my heart, I put my passion, put my soul into this rapping
I'm never gonna quit, until I make this dream happen
"I have a dream"
