I was walking
Slow and free
There was nothing
Bothering me
The sun was shining
Lazily in my eyes
Then much
To my surprise
Someone came
Up to me
And told me
I was lost
I started running
Oh so fast
Trying to find where
I'd left my past
But it was not
To be found
I couldn't recover
My lost ground
I went searching
Near and far
For someone to ask
What we are
But then I gave up
And decided
To be
Lost in the dark
It was night
And the night was cold
I had no courage
Nor was I bold
I found a lamppost
To sit beneath
And never wandered
Beyond its reach
Soon it was daytime
Again
The lamp went off
And then
I went walking
Slow and free
And everything was
Bothering me
