We've explored what's happened and we still can't figure why
One day all the Pangeans just keeled over and died
Was it something unnatural and did it all coincide
With our hopes and dreams and everything on which we have relied?
The fragility of life is taken lightly all the time
We all take for granted that living isn't a crime
We search for reasons and say "I think I've found mine"
But whether right or wrong, we've still got something more to find
Day by day we travel on the road to our demise
Never thinking we'll ever see the darkening of our skies
Human frailty is best shown by what never meets the eyes
And our refusal to quit telling ourselves lies
The fragility of life is taken lightly all the time
We all take for granted that living isn't a crime
We search for reasons and say "I think I've found mine"
But whether right or wrong, we've still got something more to find
Years down the road, some may marvel at our fate
They'll say that we were foolish, we changed our ways too late
We think that we're in control, and everything's so great
But the ending of our story is one I'm not sure we'll create
The fragility of life is taken lightly all the time
We all take for granted that living isn't a crime
We search for reasons and say "I think I've found mine"
But whether right or wrong, we've still got something more to find
