The Rare Occasions is an American, New England inhabitant of, indie rock band from Boston, formed in 2012.
The band first attracted attention in Providence, Rhode Island when they won the WBRU Rock Hunt, headlined the Summer Concert Series at Waterplace Park, and performed to packed crowds at Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel and The Met .
After releasing the two singles An Actuary Retires and Aglow , they released their third EP, Futureproof , produced by Steve Sacco.
The band's 2021 second studio album Big Whoop features 6 singles, Control , Set It Right , Alone , Stay , Call Me When You Get There and Origami.
