I turn around, catch a face in the mirror
By the look in those eyes
I'd say the mask's getting thinner
They see the scars that I bear
But they'll never know the pain
That put them there
Let it fall to the floor
This mask is long over worn
The eyes I see are green
That makes a change
From the rose-stained beads
I've grown accustomed to recently
In this story green eyes see the truth
But these green eyes look to the moon
I see the moon through the trees
Faint shadows cast over me
As it sails across the dark endlessly
Slow enough that I can't see it
So I look away, let it move freely
At last the shadows leave
It's just me and the leaves
Let me be with the leaves
These green eyes are mine
These green eyes are mine
These green eyes are mine
These green eyes are mine
These green eyes are mine
These green eyes are mine
These green eyes are mine
These green eyes are mine
I see the moon through the trees
Faint shadows cast over me
As it sails across the dark endlessly
Slow enough that I can't see it
So I look away, let it move freely
At last the shadows leave
It's just me and the leaves
Let me be with the leaves
