I sit perched beside the water
And watch the waves roll in and out
The bite of June hits me
White rocks into sand as the gull swoops by
The ocean sings to me a song of sweetness
Under a harsh and blackened sky
As the boat sails by
Far and distant
Up and down
Blue and green and white
The land I sit upon is not natural
Made by forward thinkers
Crazy thinkers
The land of new memories
We don't remember fear and fighting
Stares and loathing
Resentment floats beneath the waves
Now you can only see the everyday normal things
Coldness rain and tears
Warmth sunshine and tears
Blue and green and white
