I was caught up in a dream
When my eyes filled with wonder
I could see a field of flowers
Purple and yellow and every other color
Growing as they will
Under blue skies and yellow rays
I asked what they were, you said they were wild
No rhyme or reason, but yet still in order
They didn't have to try
As they reached up to the sky
To most they just looked like a blur of pretty colors
But to You, their creator, they were precious little treasures
I saw how every kind, every color, every shape
Brought a tear to your eye and a smile to your face
When the gardener came in to cut out the weeds
I could feel your heart break
And I heard you start to weep over the flowers
Every tear from your eye, like a drop from the sky
Fell in slow motion to gently rain down on the flowers
If I'm that field of wild flowers
Be my sun, my moon, my rain
Tend me and keep me, let me be your delight
Make me beautiful as you look down from the sky
