Streetlights guide us home
They know just where to take us
Moments just like this
They are the ones that make us
Walking by the place
We met when we were children
Back when we had dreams
Before time slowly killed them
Nights grow dark
And Days grow cold
We stay inside
And watch our lives unfold
Time flew by
When we were young
Slowly disappointed
By who we've become
Now our nine to fives have turned us into mad men
We long for younger days, cause we were never sad then
Always watching all the people with the good life
While they tell us who and where and what we should like
Everybody's life looks good in the picture
People say they'd die for you, they ain't even with ya
Take a sec and look around before you lose your vision
People in the suits only care about division
Sometimes it's hard to find your peace of mind
When you've been kicked while down and left behind
Trust me eventually you'll see the bigger picture
When you stop living your life through a filter
Before I go just go
Just know you're not alone here
Please don't and sit and think the end of this is so near
You've got time to love the things that make this life real
And it's fine to feel the feelings that you might feel
