I don't know where I begin
Compared to where your body ends
And I'm not afraid to find out
Turn your face into the wind
Try to feel individual molecules bouncing around
There's infinite spaces between
The spaces between you and me I have found
No matter how close we're apart
No matter how far we're together
The void will remain the same
But I'm amazed to see
How small all of infinity
Can appear to be to you and me
How can I lose you or say I love you
When you're so far away
The minutes we find in space and time
Appear and dissipate
To love and have lost can't apply
When dealing with distance and timing so great
You're so far away
In all these billions of years
And all these trillions of meters
We find ourselves standing right here
When all this is long gone and through
And all the colors have faded
I'll find you again in the new
And while the leaves keep fading
We'll keep changing
Rearranging
Each day and each night
The colors seem to sing like melodies inside an opera
With sounds profoundly found in sights and scenes
Their frequencies include the trees
And views below from airplanes
Or looking out from cars at stars and seas
And in between each melody's a stream of something deeper
With every new emotion that we find
If I lead us into darkness I won't let you down
'Cause we're here for something bigger than ourselves
Come lay thee down
Sleep through the night
I'll be here waiting
Saving peace of mind
