RLA The Poet - Poetry Must Be A Lady Lyrics

RLA The Poet - Poetry Must Be A Lady Lyrics

Poetry must be a lady
It must be my poetic baby
I'm attracted to how she fills my belly
She really keeps me full
I love it when she haikus or sonnet
That's like when she wears her head scarf or her bonnet
She knows how to make me commit
Commit to all her styles
Like a stoner who's attached to weed
She's really is all I need
Like a bookworm that loves to read
I study her like it's a job, indeed
Poetry must be a lady
I'm so amazed by her poetic energy
She's so soothing and calm
I love the way she kisses my lips like lip balm
I could make love to her all day long
If I smoked, then I would inhale her from a bong
As beautiful as Nia Long
As long as I've known her, she's done no wrong
It was a sad day when your mom passed
Mrs. Angelou had a peaceful soul, like jazz
I wish I knew your grandfather, Mr Hughes
You're still holding fast to dreams that haven't died
See, she gives me history lessons that I need
She keeps me on a high, like a nosebleed
Seat my affection in your heart for you to feed
A long-lasting love, indeed
You personify a beautiful woman
I guess it's ironic that this is personification
You send me on a trip in my head like it's the perfect vacation
Again, you personify a beautiful woman

She gives me attention like a baby's first step
She's healthy for me, like when I meal prep
I take my time with her, like I'm at meps
You are a metaphorical bliss and I love your concept
So again I say, poetry must be a lady
It must be my poetic baby
Janet brought you justice
But you show me what lust is
She's my boo, like the ghost town DJ's
She always keeps me running man
