If seeing is believing then I'd like to be blind
She said to me with a casual wink of an eye
The thought of seeing or just being left behind
Is too much of a weight for my weary eyes
Scouting out the streets, looking for a bit of decency
But I can't find any
There are people walking by in their business suits and ties
And their lives are cold, and their hands are tied
But people blame the times
We're looking for the answers before we die
"If seeing is believing then I'd like be blind
She said to me with a casual wink of an eye
The thought of seeing or just being left behind Is too much of a weight for my weary eyes
Ask the church for answers and you'll get them
Ask the lab for answers and you'll get them
Sit down pray or calculate, and you'll find what you're wanting to find
But you'll never afford the truth if you bought all the lies
Have you seen some, could you spare some Honesty
Do you need some, like I need some?
Honesty
Ignorance flows freely through your leaky faucet mouth
And you're screaming hallelujah, as if you've figured it all out
And it's not black or white, it's just shades of gray
It seems to boil down to today
That there is no right and no wrong
It's just shades of gray
If seeing is believing then I'd like to be blind
She said to me with a casual wink of an eye
The thought of seeing or just being left behind
Is too much of a weight for my weary eyes
