Later on, on the lawn, on a call with my mom
The sun was out and spouting UV, like a groovy 60s movie
And I stop to hesitate and waver in a delay
I feel something on my plate, something that I haven't ate
And then the earth begins to quake and shake and wake up all the
Neighbors on the lake, who just want to catch a break
And I want to help you sir, but the world is made of dirt
So I rub it in, right into my grin
And hit the threshold
But it's all temperamental
So I don't get stressed out
I just let it go
Suddenly, something seeps, below the cracks beneath my seat
It's feeling neat without the heat beating on my blistering feet
But I can't give in that way cause that'll be the end of me
I think it's best to stay away, and save it for another day
But this day is something else, I woke up not quite feeling well
I washed the slime between my toes and also for my neighbor Joe
Who saw me out on the lawn, on a call with my mom
The sun was out and spouting UV, like a groovy 60s movie
And then I hit the threshold
But it's all temperamental
So I don't get stressed out
I just let it go
After naught, I got caught, cutting through the parking lot
The block was hot and rocking cops, rolling up and down their stops
I take off, lose my socks, soil on my feet so soft
I saw the Lord, I saw Love, I saw the earth from above
Which made me stop to take it in, I had to pause and watch it spin
For the ground quaked below which woke up my neighbor Joe
Who saw me out, on the lawn, on a call with my mom
The sun was out and spouting UV like a groovy 60s movie
And then I hit the threshold
But it's all temperamental
So I don't get stressed out
I just let it go
Later on, on the lawn, on a call with my mom
The moon was out, blooming fully, the night was nice, nothing spooky
Silence around us is soothing, can you catch the crickets chirping
Owls and bayou speaking fully, nothing else surrounds the evening
