Oscar Anton - Postcard from Nyc Lyrics

Hey it's Oscar,
I made it to your party, finally.
We've been waiting, patiently, but we dit it !
I was just in time for the sunset, just in time for that glass of spritz we were dreaming about.
All of your friends were here, can you believe it ? You're not a stranger anymore, it's been actually a year now since you've arrived in Paris.
I wish I new, short hair look so good on you. (and I'm pretty sure I saw you.)
But we're together now, that's the only thing that matters.
You know travelling is great, but staying in one place with you feels just the same.
For these few days, I had nowhere to go, except of course the countless places we wrote down in our little notes.
But how many did we went to again ? Like 1 or 2 ?
Guess I'll have to stay longer next time.
Cause in a blink of an eye, I had to go back.
It's been a week in New York now, and I wanted to say hi before moving to the next one.
The city is quite fascinating. It feels like a big, real life, Friend's set, you know with cosy coffee shops and loud and busy streets.
You remember how hard it was in London to plan sessions with artists ? Well it's even harder here.
It's my last day, and I didn't have any. All the artists cancelled or just never replied, and the thing is, this time I can't go back.
But I'm thinking, maybe I'll do this one alone. Cause I still wrote something I'm really happy about.
I mean it's either that, or not releasing anything, and you know me, this is not happening.
I'm giving my very best to release these postcards every month. So I'll keep doing it, with or without other artists.
I guess that's part of the story.
And also, I don't want to leave you for nothing aha. So I'm coming back with a song. A good one.
I can't wait for the next trip, cause this one is gonna be with you,
Take care xx
Oscar
