From the founders' wisdom our rights did spring
Freedom of speech, religion, the press to bring
You can burn a flag, worship a tree
Rally in the streets, the choice is free
Keeping the militia well-regulated and armed
No need to fret, you'll stay unharmed
But please no nukes, let's be civilized
A Glock, an AR-15 will do, the founders weren't that surprised
So wave the flag high and give a proud shout
The Bill of Rights knows what it's all about
Protecting our freedoms, entertaining too
Old glory's still waving red, white and blue
Red white and freaking blue
No soldiers crashing on your cozy bed
Unless there's a war, and you've got rooms to shed
So long as you're not harboring fugitives
This amendment gives your home's privacy
Unauthorized search? I don't think so
Without proper warrants, the law doesn't go
Your emails, your phones, your castles too
The Constitution's got you covered through and through
Due process for all
Even for criminals, big or small
Property protected, double jeopardy barred
Defending your freedom isn't hard
A speedy trial for the accused
Your rights won't be abused
Witnesses to face you, that's a guarantee
Justice served, and fairly, you'll see
For civil cases over twenty bucks
A jury of your peers will bring you luck
No prejudiced judges to seal your fate
Justice served on a silver plate
No cruel or excessive fines, bail or punishment
These founders knew what fair treatment meant
No squashing human dignity with might
Upholding freedom with rules just and right
Just 'cause it's not listed, don't mean it ain't real
People's rights extend, and it's the deal
A freedom-loving plan, brilliant and true
Protecting rights old and new
What's not given to the federal powers-that-be
Belongs to the states, or you and me
A balanced system, keeping checks in place
Ensuring liberty for the United States
From Concord and Lexington, the revolution was it
These rights were hard-won, don't forget it
Tyranny was dead, a new nation unfurled
As a beacon of justice for the whole world
With muskets and pens, a framework was formed
Our liberties, forever transformed
Laws of the land, by the people's demand
Upholding these rights, all Americans must stand
So when you feel that freedom's fire burning inside
Let these amendments be your beacon and guide
Forged from a vision of unity profound
The Bill of Rights' legacy, let it resound
Wave the flag high and give a proud shout
The Bill of Rights is what it's all about
Protecting our freedoms, entertaining too
Old glory's still waving red, white and blue
Red white and freaking blue
Red white and freaking blue
