Moments
Frozen in time
Pages of pictures from a life
A grey so sublime
Drawn to a world of monochrome design
Half-remembered days play like actors on a stage
There is a meaning behind the tales they tell themselves
The light which they borrow comes from somewhere else
Dancing in a pallid shadow, a gleam of indigo
The feeling of a long summer's twilight, sepia
A lover's embrace bathed in regal red and gold
Color burns into an image of a time before, a time of its own
I stir from within
For I'll never be without
A world painted
From a well of color
A violet sunset shimmers over a field of green
Emerald waves across the mountainside
Feeling swept away, they will not be denied
Whether or not they are my own, I cannot define
A vivid monochrome
With a life all its own
Wanting to be known
Demanding my eyes fall across its brilliant form
