Hottest summer, once again
Ac running, we're near the end
Tanking Gas, standing still
Traffic jam, getting ill
People stressed, they hurry home
Sweating, yelling, something's wrong
Everyone's looking, nobody sees
Forgetting 'bout important things
Eating, drinking, taking drugs
Watching news, not thinking outside the box
They nod, they agree
Why can't they see?
Brainwashed since birth
Not caring 'bout mother earth
Hottest summer, once again
No ac running, drowning in pain
Working hard, can't pay the bill
Walking miles, getting ill
Always thirsty, they hurry home
No water there, something's wrong
Nobody's looking, everyone knows
Human ignorance is so gross
Hungry thirsty, living in pain
No food in sight, neither weight gain
They hurt, they cry
Inevitably die
Cursed since birth
Never hurt mother earth
Life is not fair
This earth is dying
Nobody cares
But I am crying
Can't take this burden all alone
Please tell me you see what's wrong
People in power don't do what's right
Atom bombs make it an unfair fight
A bigger force will bring us down
We are not worthy of the lords crown
Never were, never will
The devil is in all of us still
Plastic oceans, plastic skies
It'll be here when the last one dies
How many sunsets will I see?
How many rises will there be?
I'll cherish each moment until I'm gone
Until I'm gone
Can we still change?
Is it too late?
Is there an end
To this mess we created?
Will there be something
Left when we're gone?
Have we destroyed
The planet we depend on?
