Monitored Video (MV)

I should have never let you get close
I was a fool for letting you in
Now your the one who gets to boast
To all of your stupid friends
Forgiveness was in my hindsight
But it was never my intentions
I tried to do it on my own
It never works to my advantage
Guess thats what I get for letting you in
It doesn't help that I'm always reminded
On how much of a failure that could have been
Still waiting for that chapter to end
Thats why i keep my feelings monitored
To keep things like this from happening again
Call me a fool but I think it wise
I rather this than for me to descend
Into my own subtle darkness
Say that I'm fine then I'll pretend
Should I leave it alone or should I fix it?
Maybe I'll try to make amends
