Christ, The Anointed One
He was anointed to set the captives free
To mend the broken hearted
To preach to those less fortunate than we
To give sight to the blind, to preach the Lord's acceptable year
To set at liberty the bruised, at least to those who would hear
Christ the anointed one. He came to set us free
He's God's only begotten son. And his face I will see
Christ the anointed one. Knows my beginning from my end
He's God's only begotten son. In whom I'm born again
He's talked about I the law. He's talked about in the Psalms
He's talked about in the prophets. Yes, Messiah, he had to come
And he did, as it was written, to do thy will oh, God
To save the souls of men, who would believe in him in their hearts
Christ the anointed one. He came to set us free
He's God's only begotten son. And his face I will see
Christ the anointed one. Knows my beginning from my end
He's God's only begotten son yeah. In whom I'm born again
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son
That whosoever, doesn't matter who it is
Whosoever would believe in him
Should not perish, but have everlasting life
You know something else
God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world
But that the world through him, might be saved
So if it's joy, peace, and even eternal life that you're looking for
Then try Jesus, and I guarantee you'll have it made, alright
For except a man be born again. Then God's kingdom he cannot see
And if you choose some other way. Then my friend, you've been deceived
Christ the anointed one. He came to set us free
He's God's only begotten son. And his face I will see
Christ the anointed one. Knows my beginning from my end
He's God's only begotten son. In whom I'm born again
In whom I'm born again
