I woke up this morning feeling like
I couldn't breathe or smile like
The world was moving leaving me behind
So I went for a run
When I came back it was all the same
Except for my shins, which were in pain
And as I got dressed I wondered
Why this life plays jokes on me
Just when I think I got it down
Something happens to change it around
And I am left struggling to see
What is left of what was before
What is now waiting at my door
With nothing beside me except me
Just when I think
I floated around the rest of the day
Saying hellos and goodbyes and heys
Dreaming of going home to my bedroom walls and my TV
Whirling thoughts around in my head
My fake smile breaking now and then
I almost didn't make, but I found myself at my door
Just when I think I got it down
Something happens to change it around
And I am left struggling to see
What is left of what was before
What is now waiting at my door
With nothing beside me except me
Just when I think
Just when I think I got it down
I see you walking around this town
And I am left struggling to see
What is left of what we were
Memories I can't ignore
With nothing beside me except me
Just when I think I got it down
Something happens to change it around
And I am left struggling to see
What is left of what was before
Things I can't ignore
With nothing beside me except me
Just when I think
