Early mornin' light, I stretch from my sleep
On the porch of this old farm, where my watch I keep
Dew on the grass, smell of hay in the air
Ready for a day's work, no time to spare
I'm the Canine Cowboy, yippie-ki-yay
Herding them cattle and making my way
With a bark and a howl, I'm king of this land
Side by side with my human, we stand
Through fields I roam, with sheep and the hens
Guarding the barn, where the old rooster pens
Children laugh as they play and chase
I join in their games, in this wide-open space
Remember my pups, now grown and gone
Out on their own farms, from dusk till dawn
A tear in my eye, but pride in my heart
My legacy's spread, though we're apart
I'm the Canine Cowboy, yippie-ki-yo
Running with the wind, where the wildflowers grow
With a bark and a howl, under the big blue sky
Life's a joyful ride, oh me, oh my
Sunset glows, by the fire, we lay
Dreaming of tomorrow, another cowboy's day
Under the starlit sky, I give a joyful howl
Forever I roam, the Canine Cowboy on the prowl
