The sea floor rises to meet more than feet
For the restore shore is a heap
A sleepy eyed candlelit breakfast 'tween sheets
Then a smoke lined dive tank car ride and sleep
And I wake up to a crank speed addict in debasements defeat
And the sewer line it leaks
As the last in line finally gets the sink
Well I'm pumping my brakes but you betcha I still hit it of course
And I'd like to see Sally, my sweetie
But they tell me she's a born again
And I'm counting all the ways to get home but I'm already bored
And I've been sleeping on the floor
Till the morning light can hardly reach the door
Thumbing down the road with a ruck sack a wagon away
To see the rippling rolling mountains in the lake of the side the side of a beach
Heard a humming bird whistling like my skipping stone throwing up steam
It's coming back to me
This is the very last time your eyes be used for these
Dreaming of a raft that left 'for I was seventeen
I see you floating down the river in a tool shed you fools what I see
Well i'm paddling up the path but I'll probably puke 'for I get to be
A smattering
Of sleep deprived mosquito bites and weeds
