I'll continue to sit. I'm going to continue to stand with the people that are being oppressed
To me, this is something that has to change
And when there's significant change, and I feel like that flag represents what it's supposed to represent and this country is representing people the way that it's supposed to, I'll stand
We live in a land
Mad at a man for taking a stand
For taking a knee disgruntled with his country
I think it's funny everyone is burning their nikes
Can't you see that they gotta keep us fighting
Keep the fire igniting the flame alive
Cause that's the way they create a divide
If it's about respect, then respect is choice
Choosing a passive action for those without a voice
Bring the noise. Shut it down
Chuck D told me that when P.E. was around
Now it's hit the ground and get choked out
Is that what freedom is all about
I'm talking inside jobs or no more jobs
Got us praising false idols like Steve Jobs
Y'all need to get your priorities straight
Before they lay you down on your dying day
Stand up. Sit down.
Take a knee. Then bow
There's a lot of things that need to change
One specifically is police brutality
There's people being murdered unjustly and not being held accountable
Cops are getting paid leave for killing people
That's not right
That's not right by anyone's standards
This is America catch us all slipping now
Only the land of the brave you can't stand your ground
Keep us all morbid
Move and we'll kill you now
Especially when you hear get your ass on the ground
Better comply or get killed
Complied and got killed
This is why Kap kneeled
So many miss that man they bringing up the flag in MAGA hats
And we see more blood spilled
Believing police word over video
I said it before said it again your mind blown
Together we strong. We see we team up to overthrow them
Inciting from our poems
Tamir Rice and Philando we stand for them
Police from within gotta say something to them
This is America thought we was free now
Only the land of the brave we can't kneel now
Stand up. Sit down.
Take a knee. Then bow
We have to come together
We have to unify and make a change
If we have these real conversations that are uncomfortable for a lot of people
If we have these conversations there's a better understanding where both sides are coming from
And if we reach common ground and can understand what everybody's going through
We can really effect change and make sure that everybody's treated equally and has the same freedom
