MORRIS RANDOM POET - The Ice Horse Lyrics

MORRIS RANDOM POET - The Ice Horse Lyrics

Before the languishing world
The Ice Horse ride begins
With sultry ladies
Too young to have sin
His eyes are upon them
Son They Shall die
Oh, how they plea
And ask him why
Pupils are shattered
And yet they see
The vengeance on the world
For its misdeeds
Droplets of sweat
Bounce on his hide
Rhythm with structure
It soon abides
Playing the music
Of ice in the soul
Devoid of sound
His hooves will wage a toll
Spirit of something moving close by
Chills her heart
As she begins to cry
Oh, the sound is an eerie shrill tone
Cold tears form
And turn into iced bones
Terror has stricken the earth
With a hellish evil unexplained
Strikes down the living
With torrential acid rain
Spears of ice falling down
Ravage all that lives on the land
Crops are wasted laid bare
Devastation looms everywhere
Storms abound till
No life or plant survives
Such are the wages
Of a miscast earth
Why didn't they see
Before it was too late
Some people believe
It's just a matter of fate
Politicians hide in the underground
This is no solitude from the ice Horse
All will be gone at the speed of light
No one can alter the course
Sun turns so black
And bids farewell
We reaped the whirlwind
We sowed so well!
We scarred this world
Till there was no more
Our selfish ways broke it 's will
Now the bounty is all still
Nothing left to fight for
All rich go down with us all
The high and mighty are put asunder
I can hear the far-off thunder
Terror is upon us this night
There will be no morning light
Can you feel the fright
No no it can't be right
Man survives no more
Earth is barren as empty space
Our dominion is gone
We lost the race
Can you hear me
I say can you hear me
There is only silence
A lonely void
The eeennnddd
Yes, The eeeeennnnnddddd
