Darkness falls on prism skies
Evil lurks behind blue eyes
Lurid shadows harken the air
And lost souls are everywhere
Feel the breath of nothing there
Chills caress like deadly hair
Rising up to feel your brow
Dogs are barking hear them howl
Have you awakened from a dream
Where things are not as they seem
Wide awake so now it is real
Your peace put aback upon its heel
Sweating profusely heart is racing
Footsteps back and forth are pacing
Dare not move from shear fright
The Devil walks here tonight
Yes, he knows what you have done
Nothing hidden nothing won
Discovery weakens the strongest mind
Darkness follows close behind
Can you escape this mind frame
Or are you too weak to blame
Lightning touches you feel the pain
Shadows dancing on the window panes
Willows sway to and fro
A cold wind this way blows
Evil deeds hidden deep
The whirlwind you shall reap
Not a night for you to sleep
Evil forces are almost complete
Suddenly the dogs howl no more
Wonder what is now in store
Vanquished soul hopelessly trapped
The flesh in which it is wrapped
There to be till no time remains
No encores and no refrains
No way we shall flee
Trapped here for eternity
Close your eyes and slip away
Return to fight another day
Many shadows are everywhere
You reach to see if it is there
And so, with the morning sun
The shadows leave all but one
Looking down on the floor
My shadow is standing there
The only one left is mine
And he's feeling fine
