MORRIS RANDOM POET - Say What Cartoon Song Lyrics
Official

Say What
I see a clown in yellow jeans
On a group of silver screens
Dancing to the fires flame
While playing a silly children's game
Riding waves of chocolate Quick
Into a cloud of candy sticks
Singing songs of looney toons
While waiting on the marching spoons
A little car comes down the road
Opens up and out jumps a toad
He's dressed like a clown today
But ribbit ribbit is all he can say
A small bird is coming my way
Beep Beep is all he can say
Old yogi and the rangers over there
First time I've seen a talking bear
I laugh and say I'm here to play
So, get on board the Thomas' train
Things are not as they seem
The speakers begin to scream
Look out for the falling rain
Washes the spider down the drain
Time and time he washes down
Then climbs back up with a frown
Earth moves to an eerie sound
As jack jumps to the ground
A Giant lands on top of me
Crushes my hat oh my oh me
Colors falling fast and slow
The greens and blue oh how they glow
Caterpillars cruising by
Turning into butterflies
The birds are singing lullabies
Reflecting rainbows in their eyes
A storm passes with Dorothy
In the trees entwine in friendly embrace
And dance round to the music's pace
As rabbits laugh and sing the tune
We watch the love birds swoon and swoon
Trains and ships are in their minds
Remembering all the nursery rhymes
Bugs is here to ask the Doc what's up
Those are the best of times
Remember when the children's cartoons
Were filled with whimsical Laughs and glee
With wildest things to make us happy
Lighthearted and so carefree
The gentle rain beats out the chord
Surely written by the lord
To give us peace and all the best
When it's over they will rest
Hush befalls the summer night
And everything is put to right
They drift into a slumber state
Dream about tomorrow's fate
Teddy bears so close by
Tuck them in with a gentle tone
Think about how fast they grow
Soon they will be grown
Kids Safe again in their beds
Remembering what he had said
I will watch over you forthright
Till the dawns first sight.
Kiss your children goodnight
And may they sleep tight
A don't let the bedbug's bite
Say your prayers tonight
Everything is alright
