The moon is high upon the sky as the tears begin to flow
She thought he was the one for her but she didn't know
Tragic ways and long-lost dreams are her claim to fame
She picks a man of heartless ways she thought that she could tame
He broke her heart and left her here with nothing left to say
Though she loved him it was not enough to make him stay
The saddest part is deep inside she knew he was a cad
It seemed he always knew the way to leave her feeling sad
Now alone with the memories that never really were
She thinks back and something in her begins to stir
Oh the pain and all the loss is so hard to bare
She hardens her heart and pretends that she no longer cares
As days go by the loss is more then she can bare
She longs for the embraces they held so dear
The wages and years pass so slowly by
Many times her eyes well up and begin to cry
Will she ever be able to love someone with all her heart
And commit to a relationship with a brand-new start
So is a lifetime filled with love and there are times of strife
Pick yourself up and say to yourself this is what makes a life
Then one day a man she meets says he loves her so
And at last they create a love that is raw and so bold
Dancing to the music only they can love
The two lovers now have a bond that comes from above
This love will last for their lifetime and maybe more
As they dance round and round on the dance floor
The bond they have is here to stay and stay
One last kiss as the lovers go on their way
