I wasn't so honest on my script
In hopes you'd understand why I went away
I thought I dodged city lines
From the highway on my way back out from here
We just moved away
Across to where we thought we had meant to be
We just moved along
We just left alone

We felt sick knowing we were wrong
We saw the moments in the mirror as they had gone
Sat beneath the stairs as we faded along
And it wasn't worth it at all

But, they went anyway
And our eyes burned, wet and warm
It felt visceral
