Memphis May Fire - Hell Is Empty Lyrics

Memphis May Fire - Hell Is Empty Lyrics
Official

Can't escape what is reality
Everything we knew is upside down
It's just a shell of what it used to be
And I'm afraid that we can't turn around

There is nowhere safe
Was it us that opened the gates?
We were blind to the blame
Now the end is just a breath away

Hell is empty and Heaven is near
Prayers turned to pleading and faith into fear
The evil below, now above they appear
Hell is empty
The devil is here

There's no future in what's left for us
Say goodbye to everything you once loved
I see a fire in the sky above
Ashes to ashes, we'll return to dust

There is nowhere safe
Was it us that opened the gates?
We were blind to the blame
We dug ourselves into an early grave

Hell is empty and Heaven is near
Prayers turned to pleading and faith into fear
The evil below, now above they appear
Hell is empty

There's no fork, there's no horns
This is war, we've been warned
The evil below, now above they appear
Hell is empty
The Devil is here

(He's here)

Hell is empty and Heaven is near
Prayers turned to pleading and faith into fear
The evil below, now above they appear

Hell is empty
Hell is empty and Heaven is near
Prayers turned to pleading and faith into fear
The evil below, now above they appear
Hell is empty

There's no fork, there's no horns
This is war, we've been warned
The evil below, now above they appear
Hell is empty
The Devil is here

There's no fork, there's no horns
This is war
The Devil is here

(Show video at the top of the page)

Memphis May Fire continues to roll out new songs that provide fuel for their fan's fury.

Today, the band has shared the video for "Hell Is Empty,” where the band shifts gears just a bit and offers up a sonically cinematic track with hooks that dig in and don't let go.

"'Hell Is Empty' is a reflection on the chaos and destruction we see in the world today,” explains vocalist Matty Mullins.

"It's about the feeling that we've lost control, and the lines between good and evil being blurred beyond recognition.”

He continues, "The song speaks to a world where fear and uncertainty have taken over, where everything we once believed in has crumbled, leaving us to face the darkest parts of ourselves. This song is a wake-up call — a raw and unapologetic look at the consequences of our actions and the world we've created.”
