When I get bored, I Google flats in New York
I know I can't afford to change my life
But something has to change
A studio in Long Island might be just what I need
Maybe something by the water
Something by the sea
When I get scared, I have to stop myself
From selling all my stuff, and running somewhere
'Cause I know I can't just go, I have a life
I can't fight or flight when I've got grass to mow
Am I on the wrong Island?
Is there something wrong with me?
Well either way, with Street View
I can belong vicariously
Yes, you can outrun yourself
Leave your baggage running laps
On carrousels in JFK
You can fly three thousand miles
But even in Manhattan
Your shadow looks the same
I'm only looking, I'll probably never get to Brooklyn
I'll just amble around with these big ideas until I buckle
