Mark Allen - American in the 21st Century Lyrics

Mark Allen - American in the 21st Century Lyrics

Hanging out the walmart supercenter
Watching all the prices drop
As I got a call on me prepaid digital phone
On my friend on the other end
Was lettin' my in on a dotcom deal she was doing
All she needed was my credit card number

And as I walked down aisle 5
This old woman smiled
And offered me a free sample of cheese
She was selling

And it makes my glad
That I'm an american in the 21st century
I'm glad oh so glad to be american in the 21st century
Oh say can you see this is the home of the free
In the 21st century

Got through the check out line walked to my car
With eight plastic bags with one handle broken
And I spilt the milk that i got on sale

Then I drove away I got a little hungry
So i drove up to the drive thru
At my favorite local golden arches (We love to see you smile)
And much to my surprise when I ordered my fries
They gave me a free britney spears doll

And it makes my glad
That I'm an american in the 21st century
I'm glad oh so glad to be american in the 21st century
Oh say can you see this is the land of the free
In the 21st century

When I got home I got the mail put the food away in the frdige
Making sure I put my plastic bags in the recycling bin
Then I noticed I had a letter marked very urgent
So I opened it up and it said I had won... one million dollars!
But before I could decide which magazine i get to try free
My friend calld again on my prepaid phone

She said she was glad
That she's an american in the 21st century
Shes so glad oh so to be american in the 21st century
And I'm glad to be all american in the 21st century
We're glad to be in america in the 21st century
Oh say can you see this is the place to be
Oh say can you see this is the place for me
In the 21st century
