Popped the tape into the deck an then rewinded it back

I sat quiet to the headphone static
Next thing you know my eyes lit up cuz what I heard was orgasmic
Real underground rapping as smooth as you could imagine
Every play made my troubles faded away like it was magic

None the less, I was impressed by my first written rhymes
But yet surprised at the fact that they had spawned from my mind
So then I went to go and test them with the homies outside
They were chilling in the halls of the shelter that we lived in
Told them I wrote some bars and they said ight then spit em
No hesi I let em fly, nigh could tell from their reaction that I had to gift of god like my name
