It sounds like armageddon's raining down upon the front porch
I don't think the sun will ever show it's face again
And even if it did I don't think I would want to see it
Shine on all the damage that's been done to this poor house
Tell the truth I think I'm more afraid of all the thunder
Coming from the bedroom down the hall and to the left
They've been going at it like a couple of tornadoes
Tearing through the trailer homes right off of Bethel Road
Mom just would not leave the house
No matter what we said
Sure if you're right you'll be fine
But if you're wrong you're dead
I don't know why anyone would ever want to live here
You build a house, it gets knocked down, and then you build again
But I guess that's just the way it goes in small town Oklahoma
Keep the cycle spinning til they put you in the ground
They say it's just tornado season
It happens every year
When I'm older I'll build my house
A thousand miles from here
