Luke - What I Am Lyrics

Luke - What I Am Lyrics
Official

I'm done with people saying what I am and what I'm not
Watch them try their hardest but I still won't ever stop
The ones who don't go far always like to talk a lot
I don't have it all but make the most of what I've got
When things all turned to worse it made for one big learning curve
Still I didn't let it break me no matter how much it hurt
I reached the point on this journey where very few proceed
And separates the strong ones apart from the weak
But things are far from fine my mums awake later than me
She's awake cause she can't sleep not cause she's chasing a dream
You don't have a clue what goes on at home behind the scenes
Let alone decide or decipher what I should and shouldn't be
I'm done with people saying what I am and what I'm not
Watch them try their hardest but I still won't ever stop
The ones who don't go far always like to talk a lot
I don't have it all but make the most of what I've got
I've got listeners overseas things are getting surreal
And I'm on the brink of going places, I can't describe how that feels
Now people use my songs when they're making short films
The further I keep going down this path the more deals
I get offered in my emails, and messages from females
Asking how I'm doing and tryna exchange my details
But the further that I get, my friends are losing their patience
Cause I keep on making excuses to cancel our arrangements
I wish you understood what my real ones do
It takes a real one to feel what ones gone through
If only you knew, I guess you'd have to walk in my shoes
So that's the reason why I always try and make an excuse
Sacrificing my free time in exchange for more free time
Leaving all my luggage of issues down and behind
Hopefully it plans out and everything will be fine
All I know is right now I'm a make sure that I keep trying
