I used to ponder and yearn
Turned towards the past and concerns
Desiring and aspiring for something of a heaven on earth
Now the pyre of the past is burned
Winds and tides have a-turned
A new fire inside as I ride to the end of the world
And it doesn't matter if it's rain or sunshine I weather
I get on by with this lay
Dwelling a part of the way
Leaving to smile from the roads that lead into the days
The sun will be sinking, slowly fading the light
And all I will have left to remember this time
Will be these everlasting thoughts of mine
Never lasting longer than the night
So I will keep on going
To see the whole wide universe unfurled
Infinity showing in every grain of sand
As I hold in my hand the end of the world
And it doesn't matter if it's rain or sunshine I weather
I get on by with this lay
Dwelling apart of the way
Leaving to smile from the roads that lead into the days
