There's a little nagging voice
At the back of my mind
It keeps telling me that I am divine
It reassures me
That I am part of the light
A part of me that can't be denied
This can't be me
As I'm a fool
How can a sinner like me ever rule?
But the voice insists
That I am blessed
So I get down on my knees and confess
Then I start praying
And I start reigning
Then I start praying
And then I start reigning
I'm blessed
I confess
I'm an educated man
With love on his side
My sense of self has gone as well as my pride
And now my life
Is kinda spiritual
Forgiveness no longer a ritual
I have grown
Beyond mental faculty
All I see now is a different reality
All we need
The cosmos supplies
So stop searching about and start looking inside
Then start praying
And start reigning
For when I start praying
I start reigning
I'm blessed
I confess
Whether you're a Christian
Buddhist or Hindu
Muslim Zoroastrian or Jew
You'll find that
There is a golden rule
Treat all others as if it were you
The universe is inside
And outside too
You are me and I am you
Start listening
To that voice inside
Then you'll discover you're also divine
And start praying
Then start reigning
For when we're praying
We start reigning
We're blessed
I profess
