Lattitude of Man - One Morning Lyrics

Lattitude of Man - One Morning Lyrics

One morning I woke up in mess
My head was spinning, was already late
I threw back the covers, threw on some clothes
One of those mornings you really hate

Where we the car keys, can't tie my shoes
The phone was ringing, ignore that
Out through the door, forgot my keys
Back through the window in 10 seconds flat

This was a bad day turning worse
Why did I bother, I should have known
Some things just aren't worth the fuss
Shoulda called in sick and stayed at home

As you can guess, the traffic that day
Slow as cement and twice as thick
When I finally did get to work
The parking nightmare made me sick

As I open the car door, the thunder I heard
Down came the rain, in staccato kesplats
I ran as fast as I could, to work
On arrival looked like a drowned rat

I reached the front door and gave it a tug
It was still locked and would not budge
Perhaps the boss was mad cause I was late
Maybe a colleague who bore me a grudge

Reached into my pocket, pulled out my phone
Thinking of all the things I would say
Before the lightening struck that phone
Saw the screen said Sunday!

This was a bad day turning worse
Why did I bother, I should have known
Monday to Fri is my working week
Didn't need to go shoulda stayed at home
