The River
I got some too tales tales to tell
Likely should never see the light of day
And you may find that I am insufferable again
Cause I don't have much to say
Please don't take it as a slight
There ain't no reason for you feeling that way.
I'm just got caught up in the river
With my feet stuck in the clay
I threw some cash in the wishing well
It seemed a minimal price to pay
I'm just waiting for the payout
That could happen most any day
Well you might think a bit naive
Another old dog dreaming away
But I'm just caught up in the river
With my feet stuck in the clay
I can just hang here another shadow on the wall
Somewhere dry to get high when the rain begins to fall.
It seems the more I know the less I know for sure.
But I still have not found what I'm looking for
What am I looking for?
And if it all goes straight to hell
I could be a thousand miles away
Cause I'll be caught up in the river
With my feet stuck in the clay
Well I'm just caught up in the river
With my feet stuck in the clay
