I've locked myself out of my life, and I can't find the key

Too long I've spent depressed and wasted all that I've had to give

I'd never seen this day before, but now I wish I'd tried
When I seen one more rolled up, it kept pushing me aside
Familiar taste, the smell, the look, how could I pass it by?
Five years in total took their toll, it's time to say goodbye

It's one more step before you die
