Yesterday, I looked at my garden
All the garlic buried in the frozen ground
Just months ago in bloom, greens and purples all around
It was spring back then, and it's winter now
Foggy nights and frosty windows
Nothing ever seems to look the same out here
Under a blanket of snow
Falling without a sound
It was spring back then, and it's winter now
And like the seasons, we are ever changing
A grain of sand between the tides
And we're all caught inside the cycle of constant
Rearranging our lives
And may our footsteps leave their mark somehow
For the spring next year and the winter now
