It's springtime here on the farm
And I'm embracing its rural charm
Growing there in the yard
I say, what is that, Mom says, it's rhubarb
Oh yeah, strawberry-rhubarb pie
I had a slice one time up in Black River Falls
Mom says, well, why not take some home, make yourself a pie
'Cause we don't care for rhubarb at all
I go to my local grocery store
No strawberries today, tomorrow we'll have some more
Next day, strawberries in hand
I get a recipe and start to follow its plan
Strawberries, sugar and starch
Don't forget the rhubarb, that's the main part
Bake it up and then let it cool
Get ready to taste it, just try not to drool
Uh can I tell you something
I'm not sure I like rhubarb pie
It might be too sour for this guy
I'm not sure I like rhubarb pie
Even with strawberries
I'm not sure I like rhubarb pie
It might be too sour for this guy
I'm not sure I like rhubarb pie
Even with strawberries
