I speak to you in poetry
When prose is not sufficient
To tell of hearts and homes
That lie in lands beyond our vision
Hardly had I learned to speak
Before I knew the power
Of words, when whispered soft and sweet
To light my darkest hour
So feel your heartbeat's rhythm
And hear the sacred rhyme
That God above, the God of love
Says to you, "you're Mine"
It echoes in the poor man's prayer
And in the children's laughter
A song that aches to breathe the air
Of happy ever after
So feel your heartbeat's rhythm
And hear the sacred rhyme
That God above, the God of love
Says to you, "you're Mine"
And when your words are not enough
Just stop a while and listen
As Someone sings a song to us
From lands beyond our vision
So feel your heartbeat's rhythm
And hear the sacred rhyme
That God above, the God of love
Says to you, "you're Mine"
That God above, the God of love
Says to you, "you're Mine"
