The day that we have waited for is here, as we step through open doors
Four years have passed and now we wait to step up on the stage and walk the floor
Look in the crowd and see your friends, your family, all those you'll miss
Resenting all the tumult in the past, anticipating future more than this
Despite the fact that we've all wanted out, I now finally have my doubts
Leaving everything we know behind to start a life and make our parents proud
Shoved into responsibility, take what you can try to succeed
Suddenly I look around, I am freed
Part of me believes that I'll be better off in life without a leash
Finally, I've got the liberty to pursue the things I seek
We've made it to the turning point prepare yourself as you change everything
Apprehensively I turn the page in my book to a brand new anything
Part of me resents how I have squandered my time working for a resume
Striving day and night to fit the bill, have the grades, now it just falls away
For the moment I'm okay because I'm unaware I'm not okay at all
So with the time that we have left let's make a deal and live it well before we're gone
