Jamian - What's to Live For Lyrics
Official

The number one reason we get tested is to help us to be evaluated in God's eyes
To determine our value
(What value does my life hold?)
You don't know somebody's value until you test what's inside of them
You're going to have to prove your value to God
(I've got to prove it to myself first)
You're going to have to understand that until you go through some test
Until you go through some wilderness experiences
Until you go through some valleys
You're not going to be able to show God how valuable you are
And because of that, God is not going to be able to release you into what he has for you in this world
(I'm not deserving for what he has)
And whether you like it or not
This world, this life is a life that is going to be about you surrendering
As a matter of fact, the quality of your life is going to be determined by your ability to surrender to God
If you don't surrender a lot, you will not experience the blessings that God has for you
Like you will if you learn how to let go and let God have his way
(Let go and let God, huh)
(Alright)
I bury myself in these sheets before I lay to rest
There's stories to tell in each sweat and blood stain that may explain this pain
And why I suffer and can't recover
Why bother?
I'm tired of teary eyes and dead flowers
The world is ours until this hourglass stops or when it shatters
And nothing even matters when you're the cause of the pain inside to surface
It's real
I can't forgive myself
My mental health won't get better with help
First, I got to help myself and ask the questions of life
So choose your side and don't forget to say hi to the other side
Invite them demons inside to ask the question, are you satisfied?
Are you walking through life with your head held high?
I can't decide
The weight of these chains will make your soul survive
Some of you are slaves to your own thoughts
You're slaves to your past
You're slaves to your worry
You're slaves to your pain
You're slaves to your shame
You have shame for what happened years ago
And you allow shame to be a master in your life
(What if I'm still that same person?)
And it keeps you from going where God wants you to go
And it holds you back from walking in and fulfilling God's mission on your life
(I don't know if I want this life)
You've allowed your emotions and your feelings and your past
And your grief and your regret and your shame and your worry
And your anxiety to rule you
And create an unpredictable personality in your life
(Well, at least one thing's for certain)
It's caused you to feel that you are not valuable
You are not worth anything
You're never going to amount to anything
You're just going to grin your teeth and hopefully make it to heaven
I know life isn't easy
But I guess I haven't been much help anyway
What's a lot of faith if I can't depend on myself?
I'll save my apology
Father, forgive me
