Night Drive
Like the cool November air
Blowing through the sky
Looking like the last night
We'd see the ground dry
Before hell comes down on us
Colder than ever before
And we'd be stuck inside
Huddling for warmth
I love the way it feels
With my arm wrapped around you
Curled up on the couch
After a drink or two
Reminiscing all the nights
That we'd go out
And take that random drive
Just to get out of town
Nothing beats the night drive with the woman you love
Speeding down the backroads with a full moon above
Shining through the windshield onto your face
Your smile shining brighter than the sun earlier that day
And the way you'd hold my hand
While I'd try to shift gears
You'd say pull over
And I'd squeal my goodyears
The way we'd watch over the mountains
As the hours passed
Laying in the bed of my truck
Wishing it would last
Nothing beats the night drive with the woman you love
Speeding down the backroads with a full moon above
Shining through the windshield onto your face
Your smile shining brighter than the sun earlier that day
And I'd kiss you in the morning
When the moon went to bed
Knowing I won't be able to
Get you out of my head
With time it won't go away
It will stay with us for life
Even when we're Old and Grey
The memory will be alive
